Contact USMancel's Best isn't just a name, it's a legacy. Mancel spent years as the local butcher in our small town. He knew his customers by name. Mancel had a slew of Duroc hogs which he sold to neighbors throughout the area, and to fill his own home freezer himself. He was the original farm-to-table connosisseur.
Today, Mancel's great-grandson, Neilson Hadlock, is raising hogs on the very same farm he once worked.
Neilson started raising pigs when he was 13 years old. After earning a degree in food science, and working at the University butcher shop at Mizzou, he came back home with a deeper understanding of meat quality, food safety, and the necessity of local food systems.
Neilson came back with a goal: To grow pork worthy of the name Mancel's Best.




-All of our pork is Duroc breed focused and genetically selected for meat quality and growth in mind for superior flavor
-We raise pigs outdoors, free to roam with fresh air.
-We do not use antibiotics in our pig herd. If we do get a sick pig that needs treatment, that pork is sorted off and not used for our market stock.
